KELLY OWENS

This gateway course for the writing minor taught me a lot about myself as I went through each step of the process. I realized things that I never readlly paid attention to prior to enrolling in this class, and I find it so interesting that writing can do that to you. It can bring out something you didn't previously know existed, even when you think you know yourself so well. Each piece tells a new story, but unintentionally, I made claims about myself in my first piece that I carried throughout my other two. It was a weird way of validating my writing style, and I was fascinated to see the understanding I had of my writing.
